The foundation
The Artistry Behind Art, Continued
At Adelaide Collective, we believe that true art is defined by dedication, time and an uncompromising eye for detail.
Our Art, Continued series is not about rewriting or changing the original Pokémon illustrations. Instead, our mission is to break through restrictive boundaries and give you a beautiful, high-quality A4 display that encapsulates the true, hidden beauty within the original artwork.
Each print represents hours of meticulous digital craftsmanship, deep artistic research and technical precision. This is how we bring each canvas to life.
“That’s Art, Continued”

The why
Concept, Curation & Research
Honouring the original artist
Before a single line is drawn, we spend hours studying the specific illustrator behind the card. By analysing a wide selection of their portfolio, we aim to get inside the artist’s mind—learning how they use a pencil or a brush so we can match their unique style as closely as humanly possible.
Creating life past the borders
The goal of each piece is to breathe life past the edges of the original card and tell a grander story. Every element we introduce is highly calculated.
Preserving the vision
As we build, we constantly pause to reflect on our canvas and ask ourselves: ‘Does the art continuation truly portray what the original illustrator intended to show?’
“Stand out from the rest”

The how
The Iterative Creation Process
Breaking the boundaries
The process begins by surgically opening and removing the restrictive borders of the original Pokémon card. Where the frame once sat, we manually paint and construct the initial structural foundations by hand.
Slicing & expanding
We use highly targeted, small-section generative expansions to test different landscape directions. This provides a raw baseline, but it is only the first step.
Manual stitching & digital painting
AI tools have severe limitations. We spend hours hand-correcting perspective errors, fixing distorted textures in the artwork and digitally painting over seams to create a perfectly unified canvas.
Style harmonisation
We painstakingly match the specific brush styles, colour grading and cel-shading of all environmental features to the original illustrator’s exact aesthetic, making our additions invisible to the naked eye.
“With effort comes reward”

The final polish
The Precision Overlay
Mathematical alignment
A signature of Art, Continued is that every single line and detail must align flawlessly with the original asset. We utilise precise alignment grids and layered overlays to prove that the geometry, horizon and perspective lines meet mathematically.
The seamless transition
By combining advanced digital tools with hours of traditional hand-detailing, the point where the original high-resolution Pokémon card art meets our continued canvas becomes entirely seamless.
Style harmonisation
It is this profound dedication, respect for the artwork and intense effort that truly sets Adelaide Collective apart. We don’t just generate images; we meticulously build a tribute to the Pokémon art you love.
“Everything you can imagine is real”

The approval
Our Attention to Detail
Every line, texture and pixel is meticulously matched.
Before a piece is approved, we inspect the card edges, typography, horizon, colour and smallest environmental details at close range. Nothing is signed off until the transition between the original card and the continued artwork feels completely natural.
At Adelaide Collective, precision is at the heart of Art, Continued.
“Meticulously matched”
